We’re happy to support this wherever possible, please get in touch to let us know what you would like to use and where. Assuming permission is given, we’ll ask you to follow some basic guidelines on attribution, frequency, sign offs and so on.

We offer a range of ways to organically get in front of our audience. While we don’t ‘advertise’ directly on our website, we do offer a range of exposure opportunities across Your Business Network.  This includes:

  • Create a professional digital presence that includes photos, video and a map to your business
  • Create offers and promote to all internet users
  • Create offers for other Members and their employees
  • Use the Opportunities section to find customers looking for what you sell
  • Create marketing partnerships with other Members to promote each other’s services to visitors and customers
  • Use Opportunities to find government financial support and services to improve marketing, create new products and enter export markets
  • Social media exposure opportunities

We certainly do! We launched Your Business Network during the Small Business Festival Victoria in 2016, and are regularly conducting face-to-face presentations, networking events and workshops for our members across the country. Yes! The network hosts a range of easy-to-understand resources and practical tools. The ‘Planning a Business’ package has been designed specifically for anyone looking to begin their entrepreneurial journey – with access to practical advice and learn strategies from leading business owners and advisors. In your early stages of developing a business, you can use Your Business Network to:

  • Ask for confidential guidance
  • Create marketing partnerships with other Members to promote each other’s services to visitors and customers
  • Apply Marketing tools to define and understand how your target market buys
  • Find government financial support and services to improve marketing, create new products and enter export markets
  • Learn from other members and see what is working for them
  • And much amore

Additionally, our business directory lists many local small business experts who could help you with specific requirements such as legal advice and formulating a business plan.

We’re not set up to accommodate multiple businesses per member. However, because email addresses are the unique member identifier, you are welcome to sign up both businesses as members and to list them separately in the directory. You’ll need to sign up two separate email addresses for the process to go through smoothly.

While this is fine for the directory listings, if you are planning to get involved in the forums you may want to just choose one account and name to post under to avoid confusion.

Very likely, yes. Where business expenses are directly related to professional development and/or business marketing and promotion, you should not have a problem offsetting these expenses against your tax liabilities. If in doubt talk to your accountant.

Inevitably this situation pops up from time to time. However, Your Business Network has a policy not to get involved in resolving business disputes between business owners, as trying to judge the fairness or otherwise of complaints is not a role we can play.

We suggest you continue to follow up directly with the business to resolve the issue and/or report it to any relevant authorities. If there is material posted on the Your Business Network website or discussions page that you feel we should be aware of please let us know and we’ll review against our guidelines.

You certainly can – we have a section specifically designed for members to upload events. Every month there are many educational and networking events that help you generate more sales, tap into expertise and uncover ideas for managing your business. Find events near you or post an event you are hosting for other Members to attend.

No, because directory listings are part of our premium membership packages. Memberships that include a directory listing start from as little as $1 a day ($29 per month) and come with a host of other benefits. More information is here.

If you would prefer to remain a ‘Planning a Business’ member, taking advantage of our newsletters, accessing our resources and tools, asking for confidential advice and discovering new opportunities and events can be valuable for aspiring business owners during the early days.

Membership: General queries

For those memberships that include a business profile, you will be able to include backlinks to your website within the business description in your directory listing.

Members: login and click on the Business Profile button and then the Business details tab. You will be edit your information here.

When you became a member of Your Business Network, the business details you enter automatically create the basis of your business profile.

Your business profile can be viewed by both members of Your Business Network and the general public. Being listed on this directory is a great way to be found, so make sure you take the time to make the most out of your profile.  Complete all of your business details located under your business profile.

Your Business Network allows you to invite other people to access the member’s site.  These people are known as co-members. The number of co-members you can invite to access Your Business Network will depend on the type of membership package you chose when you signed up.

Membership: Payment and upgrade queries

If you would like to change your membership package at any time, whether to upgrade it or downgrade we can process your request.

To make the change contact our administration team in writing by using the contact form or sending a direct email to admin@yourbusinessnetwork.com.au.

Let them know your name, email and your current membership package and the package you would like to change to.

To make this change please contact the team at least 7 days prior to your next payment date.

Yes, we only accept payment via credit card.

Tax invoices from YourBusinessNetwork.com.au Pty Ltd are available on request. Each time your membership payments are deducted via your payments provider, we email you a receipt and we suggest you retain these for your records.
